IRONMAN 70.3 Putrajaya was held on the weekend of 13 April 2014. Its welcome 1096 individuals and 56 teams from around the world. This event that comprises of a 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run. International athletes make up 67% of the participant list. IRONMAN 70.3 Putrajaya commences at the Millennium Monument, Putrajaya Lake.
An Ironman 70.3, also known as a Half Ironman, is one of a series of middle-distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC). The “70.3” refers to the total distance in miles (113.0 km) covered in the race, consisting of a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) swim, a 56-mile (90 km) bike ride, and a 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run.
The Ironman 70.3 series culminates each year with a World Championship competition, of which competitors qualify for during the 70.3 series in the 12 months prior to the championship race. In addition to the World Championship race, Ironman 70.3 championship competitions are also held for the European, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America regions.

Among the professional athletes is a Sabki Arifin that representing Malaysia. He also a Malaysian paralimpik athlete. Sabki also has his sight set on representing his country in triathlon at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio, Brazil.
The course was lined with athletes and there was a spectator the giving the spectacular cheering from the Millennium Monument, Putrajaya Lake.

Overtaking Athletes may pass on the left for up to 20 seconds, but must move back to the right side of the road, after passing. Failure to complete a pass within 20 seconds will result in a drafting violation. Athletes may not back out of the 7 meter draft zone once it is entered (drafting violation) – Bike Course Rule
Athletes must ride single file on the far right side of the road except when passing another rider, or for reasons of safety. Side-by-side riding is not allowed and will result in a position violation – Bike Course Rule
Athletes must keep 7 meters (4 bike lengths) distance between bikes except when passing in the bike course. Failure to do so will result in a drafting violation – – Bike Course Rule
Any athletes that does not complete the entire bike course in 5 hours and 30 minutes or less will be disqualified and will not be permitted to continue the event– Bike Course Rule

Mr Sze Mun Yee, 77 was the eldest athlete that participate in Ironman 70.3 Putrajaya 2014.
Mr Sze Mun Yee completed the challenges with 7 hours & 49 minute.
